Avoid Accidents and Injuries during Tourist Season

For Clearwater and St. Pete Beach residents, along with all other locals in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, the month of March is synonymous with spring break and tourists. As college students, families with young children, and snow birds from Canada, Michigan, New England, and other points north flock to Florida, Tampa Bay area roadways such as US 19 in Pinellas County, Gulf Boulevard in St. Petersburg and Clearwater, and Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa become particularly susceptible to accidents involving motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

A higher than average number of tourists in the area also leads to more personal injuries caused by slip and falls, boating and jet ski accidents, assault and battery, and other unfortunate incidents.  Please remain particularly vigilant on Tampa Bay area road and waterways this spring!
