Terence Perenich

terenceTerence was born in downtown Clearwater to Guy and Elizabeth Perenich and a family of siblings that soon numbered nine children. Home life was unique to Terence and his family, not only because of the fun, activity and hectic life that a large family creates, but also because Terence’s dad was Guy Perenich, a pioneer in the courtrooms of Pinellas, Hillsborough and all of the counties throughout the state. Guy didn’t let his busy work-life protecting the citizens of Florida keep him from his family, as he often made time for each of his kids by bringing them along for the duties of his law practice and giving each a familiarity with the courtrooms where he fought to achieve justice for his clients.

Terence’s home life in Pinellas County could be characterized as an ongoing civics classroom as Guy shared with his family the stories of his cases representing hard working individuals who took on insurance companies, multinational corporations and state and local governments making them accountable to their promises and duties of public safety. Guy Perenich taught his children about their responsibility to stand up for the defenseless and to be a voice for individuals injured through no fault of their own – lessons that Terence would never forget.

Graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Philosophy from the College of Arts and Letters, Terence returned to Pinellas County where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Stetson University College of Law. Terence began practicing law in the Office of the State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, first under State Attorney Jimmy Russell and then Bernie McCabe. With extensive jury trial experience as a prosecutor, Terence added to his legal skills with a diversified private practice in litigation in both criminal and civil cases, State and Federal.

Once again, Terence returned home, joining his father Guy Perenich in his personal injury law firm in Clearwater where he became a shareholding partner and advocate for the injured, right alongside his father in the courtroom.

In 2009, Terence founded PERENICH The Law Firm with his brothers, Greg and Tim, continuing the legacy that Guy Perenich started so many years before. Together, Terence, with his brothers, reaffirms his connection to the community that has always been his home, through the vocation of legal advocacy in service to righting the wrongs of injustice.

Terence resides in Tampa with his wife and daughter, enjoying family time together, golfing, hiking, boating and cycling.
