A DUI on New Year’s should NOT happen
Tonight as we venture out to celebrate the New Year, let’s make sure everyone gets home safe and sound. You may remember from last week when we wrote about how New Year’s may not be the most dangerous day to drive (it is the most dangerous day to do this though) but that doesn’t mean you should take any chances on getting a DUI on New Years. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), over the past decade, almost two of every five, or 41%, deaths that occur around the New Year’s holiday were alcohol-impaired drivers. DUI accidents can cost you $10,000+ in fines, HUGE increases in insurance or even worse, your life or someone else’s. As a service to our friends, family, clients and communities here is a list of available resources to help you get home safe tonight.
